MINOT, ND (KXNET) — A man who pleaded guilty to child sex crimes has been sentenced. Richard Legarreta will serve six years in prison with five years of supervised probation for the continued sexual abuse of a child. The case was filed in Ward County court two years ago when investigators interviewed two children about the inappropriate contact. According to a photo from the U.S. Marshal's Service, Legarreta was arrested last October in Wisconsin and returned to North Dakota. Legarreta agreed to an Alford plea in court.
