BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A plane with an unconscious pilot and a partially broken landing gear had to make an emergency landing in Bakersfield on Friday. The Kern County Fire Department responded to Meadows Field Airport at about 1:30 p.m., for reports of an aircraft with two people on board that had a partially broken landing gear. Lockdown lifted at McFarland HS after ‘unfounded’ threat The pilot was unconscious and the co-pilot safely landed the plane around 1:40 p.m., according the KCFD. The Kern County Fire Department Medic Squad is on scene and assessing the situation. According to Flightradar24.com, the Beech C90B King Air was headed from Henderson, Nevada to Monterey, California before the flight diverted to Meadows Field Airport in Bakersfield.
