Havilah bull 'Curly' euthanized after sudden health decline

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A bull, who suffered after this summer's devastating Borel Fire in the Kern River Valley has been euthanized, according to the owner.
Curly the bull, whose survival was considered a miracle, has died. Owner Mark Carruthers tells 17 News, Curly's condition declined suddenly over the last few days and he was euthanized Thursday afternoon.

The five-year-old bull suffered serious burns to his hooves, legs and belly when the fire raced through the town of Havilah.
The Carruthers family also lost Mocha the cow, who initially survived the fire and another ten animals in their herd.
