REEDLEY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Children who have dreams of growing up to be an officer or those who are just looking for a cool new toy are in luck - one lucky supporter of the Reedley Police Department's explorer fundraiser will win a mini drivable Hellcat. The Oct. 12 raffle supports the Reedley Police Department's Explorer Post 836. The Reedley Explorer Program helps mentor children between the ages of 14 and 21 who are interested in law enforcement. The 'explorers' help out at various community programs throughout the year including the Reedley Street Faire, the Reedley Fiesta, and Reedley's Electric Farm Equipment Parade. The winning ticket will receive a mini 2024 Dodge Charger Hellcat RPD Edition car. The three-speed police-inspired car is equipped with Bluetooth and can be operated by both driver and remote control. The toy is suitable for ages two through eight and has an anti-collision bar to protect its mini-officer. Tickets for the raffle can be purchased for $1 each or five for $20 at the Reedley Police Department, a Reedley PD explorer, or at the Oct. 12 Reedley Fiesta where the drawing will take place.
