Update: Dense fog advisory for Tompkins and Cortland counties until Thursday midday

The National Weather Service issued an updated dense fog advisory at 8:44 a.m. on Thursday in effect until 11 a.m. for Tompkins and Cortland counties."Visibility less than one mile in dense fog," adds the weather service. "Dense fog has been slow to break up across the region, and is now expected to lift between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m."
