ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) - The sun is shining and it's a gorgeous day across the region. Temperatures are climbing into the upper 60s and lower 70s. Overnight lows will fall back again into the lower 50s and upper 40s for a pleasant night of sleeping. Friday should start off great under mostly sunny skies. A weak front will develop across the Great Lakes Friday afternoon. It will threaten rain showers late, but I don't expect more than a random shower along the boundary overnight. 8-Day Forecast Skies clear right back out by Saturday morning. It will be a bit cooler with highs back down into the 60s. Numbers spike back up again Sunday as another cold front pinches warm air into Western New York. This front will pack more of a punch and bring showers with a few embedded thunderstorms in the afternoon. Those storms are out by Monday, but we get even cooler from here with lows in the middle 40s and highs in the low 60s early next week. Let's take a trip! The Gulf of Alaska is host to a large pool of cooler air that will travel over 3000 miles east to bring us a blast of cooler air next week.
