California Supreme Court to host oral argument for Fresno, Clovis students

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The California Supreme Court is coming to Fresno for the first time since 2019 to host an Oral Argument Outreach Session for students from several local schools.
According to the California Supreme Court officials, the special session is part of the court's outreach programs which allow students to participate in and learn from the judicial process.
Students from around Fresno County will attend this session, and officials say they will have the opportunity to ask the justices questions about the court and their role in the judicial system. After that, students will watch oral arguments for the cases on the calendar that day.
The students attending the session will be coming from the following schools:
Buchanan High School
Bullard High School
Clovis High School
Clovis North High School
Clovis East High School
Clovis West High School
Coalinga High School
Justin Garza High School
Reedley High School
Roosevelt High School
Maple Creek Elementary
San Joaquin College of Law
According to officials, the court will host the session from the courtroom of the Fifth District Court of Appeal in Fresno at 2424 Cesar Chavez Boulevard on Oct. 9.
