Bryan, Effingham county residents concerned for lack of disaster assistance

BRYAN COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) - The Office of US. Representative Buddy Carter (R-GA) has responded to constituents' concerns about the absence of Bryan and Effingham counties from the Federal Major Disaster Declaration.
President Biden approves Georgia disaster declaration
Residents from the counties took to the Congressman to get answers. On Wednesday, Rep. Carter responded.
"We anticipate announcements that more counties will qualify in the coming days," the Office of Rep. Carter wrote in a statement.
Each county is individually responsible for filing the paperwork that would give them a disaster declaration. Currently, 41 counties are receiving federal aid.
