WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2024, 8:23 p.m. OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) - The Oshkosh Police Department has provided an update on the major crash on 9th Avenue that sent a motorcyclist to the hospital. According to an updated release, the 21-year-old motorcyclist from Oshkosh had been transported to a local hospital for injuries sustained during the accident. UPDATE: Door County woman accused of making threats at Oneida Casino scheduled to be arraigned The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the hospital. Officials are continuing to investigate and no additional details were provided. The area was closed off for nearly six hours due to a crash that left one motorcyclist in the hospital to be treated for injuries. The crash remains under investigation at this time. (WFRV) - The Oshkosh Police Department is asking people to avoid the area of 9th Avenue between Cumberland Trail and Washburn Street due to an investigation of a crash that occurred around noon. According to the release, officers were dispatched to 9th Avenue around 12:06 p.m. due to an accident report. The accident reportedly involved a motorcycle traveling west on 9th Avenue and a vehicle heading south on Graceland Drive.
