FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A convicted felon was found guilty Wednesday in connection to a shooting on the city's south side in May. A jury in Allen Superior Court found Amos Manning guilty of one count of felony criminal recklessness and two counts of battery by means of a deadly weapon. Amos Manning (Courtesy Allen County Sheriff's Department) The 42-year-old was charged after multiple people were shot on May 6 near Hanna Street and Rudisill Boulevard. Manning was accused of using a "revolver-like gun" to first shoot into the air and then at people nearby. Police said at the time two victims were found at the scene and two others were able to drive themselves to the hospital. They were all said to be in non-life-threatening condition. According to an officer at the scene, four people were injured in the shooting with two victims being found at the scene. The other two victims drove themselves to the hospital, police told WANE 15. During the two-day trial, prosecutors dropped a felony count of unlawful carrying of a handgun, a charge Manning had faced due to a prior conviction. Manning's sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 25.
