ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – For the first time in club history, New Mexico United is hosting a playoff game. It has now been revealed that the club's opening round match will take place on Sunday, September 3 at 6 p.m. Tickets for the match are currently on sale. While United's first-round date is set, the opponent is not. There is still plenty of shuffling to be done in the Western Conference standings, including where New Mexico will finish. United is currently the No. 1 seed in the conference and can officially clinch the top spot as early as next week. Having the No. 1 seed would guarantee home matches throughout the conference playoffs.
