COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– At the State House on Tuesday, Oct. 1, the 27th annual Silent Witness Ceremony was held. Family and friends honored their loved ones who lost their lives as a result of domestic violence. A silhouette representing each life lost was brought onto the steps of the state house. According to Attorney General Alan Wilson, 24 women and six men across the state were killed by their partners.
