(KRON) -- The college football world will have its eyes on Berkeley this weekend as Cal hosts ESPN's famous College GameDay show for the first time before its game against No. 8 Miami on Saturday. On Tuesday, Cal's most famous football alum gave one of GameDay's hosts a rundown of what to do while he's in the area. On the Pat McAfee Show, Aaron Rodgers talked all things Berkeley -- from food spots to murder cases. Giants fire Farhan Zaidi, Buster Posey named as replacement "It's awesome. It's great for Berkeley," Rodgers said of GameDay coming to Cal. "There's a great fan base there. It's a really interesting city." While Cal may not have the raucous crowds of Southeastern Conference schools like Texas and Florida, Rodgers thinks California Memorial Stadium will be rocking for the team's first home game in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The New York Jets quarterback went into his recommendations for what McAfee can do when he and the other GameDay hosts are in town. For food, Rodgers said hot dog joint Top Dog, Mexican restaurant La Burrita and Blondie's Pizza were his go-tos. For dessert, Rodgers recommended cookies at the DoubleTree on the Berkeley Marina. From there, in typical Rodgers fashion, he took the conversation in a whole different direction. "And take a walk around that little marina there, where there was an infamous case. Scott Peterson allegedly dumped the body of his pregnant wife there in the marina," Rodgers said. Rodgers, a reported conspiracy theorist, said that he had recently watched the Netflix special on the Peterson case. McAfee and the College GameDay crew will have their show at Memorial Glade at 6 a.m. Cal vs. Miami kicks off at 7:30 p.m.
