UPDATE: SCDPS revised the state's storm-related death toll to 36 on Tuesday afternoon. The new numbers show three deaths occurred in Laurens County. -- COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCBD) – The number of storm-related deaths in South Carolina continues to rise. The South Carolina Department of Public Safety reported Tuesday morning that 33 people have died across 11 counties as a result of the recent hurricane.
