CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Tomahawk Creek Middle School will be closed on Tuesday as police investigate a potential gun threat. According to Chesterfield County Public Schools, Chesterfield Police were notified by a parent that their child heard two students talking on a bus about bringing a gun to school on Tuesday, Oct. 1. Police are currently investigating, but out of an abundance of caution, Tomahawk Creek Middle will be closed on Tuesday. An update will be provided to families and staff by 4 p.m. or earlier, with plans for Wednesday, according to the school system.
