Here are some dates to mark down and information to note so you can cast your ballot in the presidential and local races. Registration Dates & Deadlines The deadline to register in person is on October 4. The deadline to register to vote online or by fax or email is October 6. The deadline to register to vote by mail is October 7. It must be postmarked by this date. How Do I Register? There are several ways to register, including online and in-person options. Voters can register online at scVOTES.gov. Please note it requires a Driver’s License or DMV ID. Registrants can download a voter registration form, complete it and return it to your county voter registration office by mail, fax, or email. Voters can also register in person by visiting their county voter registration office or while receiving services at the DMV. How do I know my registration is up to date? If you have moved from one county to another, you must register in your new county by the deadline to be eligible to vote. Click here to check your registration status. When do I vote? There are three ways to cast your ballot: Vote Early: The early voting period starts on October 21 and ends on November 2. Early voting centers are open from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Vote Absentee: The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is 5 p.m. on October 25.
