Central Ohio Weather and Radar QUICK WEATHER FORECAST: Today: PM showers, high 77 Tonight: Rain ending, low 56 Wednesday: Clearing & brisk, high 70 (49) Thursday: Sunny skies, high 74 (55) Friday: Partly cloudy, high 78 (55) Saturday: Mostly sunny, high 75 (52) FORECAST DISCUSSION: The two words that best summarize September is Columbus are hot & dry. That pretty much didn't change until the end of the month. The first week of the October will eventually reintroduce more sunshine in Central Ohio. Today brings the last few rain chances to Central Ohio for a while. Temperatures will also see a slight bump and warm up to the upper 70s. Late in the evening a cold front will push through the region and bring a little rain. This will move all the moisture from the remnants of Helene of to our east and bring in clearer skies will much cooler and drier air. Tonight those rain chanced will taper off. As the cold front moves through we can expect the clouds to break up. Cooler and drier air returns to Central Ohio. Lows tonight will fall to the mid 50s. Wind speeds will begin to pick up as well gusting close to 20mph from the north. Wednesday on the back end of that front it will look and feel very seasonable. Temperatures will stay in the low 70s with plenty of sunshine. The cool conditions will make any outdoor plans feel fantastic as far as weather goes. Sunshine will stick around for the second half of the work week. This weekend, including Saturday at Ohio Stadium, also looks great. Though we do need more rain still, a lot of people will appreciate the sunshine again. Temperatures will run at or slightly above normal for this time of year for at least the next seven day.
