(KRON) -- A third San Jose State University volleyball match was canceled when the University of Wyoming said on Tuesday that it would forfeit its upcoming match against the Spartans. Wyoming's forfeit comes after an SJSU player said in a lawsuit that her teammate is transgender. Boise State also opted to forfeit its match against SJSU, and a match between Southern Utah and SJSU in September did not go forward. SJSU's match against Colorado State on Thursday is scheduled to go forward as planned. None of the schools issued a reason for why the matches were canceled. From food to murder, Aaron Rodgers talks all things Berkeley ahead of College GameDay appearance "After a lengthy discussion, the University of Wyoming will not play its scheduled conference match against San José State University in the UniWyo Sports Complex on Saturday, Oct. 5. Per Mountain West Conference policy, the Conference will record the match as a forfeit and a loss for Wyoming. The Cowgirls will host Fresno State on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the UniWyo Sports Complex," Wyoming said in a statement. Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon applauded the move on X, just as Idaho Gov. Brad Little did after Boise State's decision to forfeit. "I am in full support of the decision by (Wyoming athletics) to forego playing its volleyball match against San Jose State. It is important we stand for integrity and fairness in female athletics," Gordon said. SJSU player Brooke Slusser joined a lawsuit that several female athletes filed in Georgia regarding transgender players in college sports. She said that her teammate, Blaire Fleming, told her she is transgender. Slusser further claims Fleming can spike the ball at 80 miles per hour and her teammates fear for their safety in practice.
