CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) has launched a new lead registry Tuesday is the last day for landlords statewide to sign up. The registry went live just before Labor Day weekend as part of a 2023 law that will soon allow renters to see which landlords have their lead certificates. Click here to sign up for the RI lead registry State law requires all landlords to sign up online, even if the apartment was built after 1978. RIDOH warned that landlords who don’t sign up may face a minimum fine of $50 per month and could be barred from evicting tenants.
