JANESVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) - An Illinois man was taken into custody on Sunday morning after a report of shots fired after an argument. According to a release, officers with the Janesville Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Hamilton Ave. for a disturbance where shots were allegedly fired. The armed man, later identified as 27-year-old Nicholas Russell of Illinois, ran into the woods before officers' arrival. Law enforcement searched the wooded area and located Russell. Evidence was collected at the scene, and the firearm used was recovered.
