  COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Officials with the Federal Emergency Management Agency say disaster assistance is available in South Carolina to aid in the recovery effort following Hurricane Helene. In the Midlands, this funding applies to individuals in Lexington, Newberry, and Saluda counties. Officials say the funding can be used to cover temporary housing, home repairs, and low-cost loans to cover uninsured property.
