YORK COUNTY. S.C. – A woman was fatally struck by a vehicle while trying to remove a tree from the roadway on Friday, September 27th. York County officials have identified the woman as 66-year old Victoria Leger. According to a news release, Leger was attempting to move a tree out the road way when she was hit by a car on Lawrence Road in Clover. She was transported to CaroMont in Gaston County, NC where she later died from her injuries. The case is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the York County Coroner’s Office. No further details.
