A woman died in a townhouse fire Sunday afternoon in Roseland on the Far South Side. Around 12:30 p.m., fire officials responded to the 9300 block of South King Drive for a fire in a two-story townhouse, according to the Chicago Fire Department. Evelyn Wilson, 66, was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center initially in "grave" condition, and was pronounced dead there at 1:13 p.m., fire officials and the Cook County medical examiner's office said. The cause of the fire hasn’t yet been determined and an autopsy is scheduled.
