BOTTINEAU COUNTY, ND (KXNET) — The Bottineau County Sheriff's Office is teaching kids that being cool doesn't mean sacrificing your safety. "Bottineau County Safety Day" took place earlier this week, and it's meant to teach kids the importance of both health and safety. The Bottineau County's Sheriff's Office gave presentations to kids from schools in the area. They discussed topics like home safety and the dangers of vaping. Health officials at the Cleveland Clinic say vaping can cause a number of health problems like lung scarring, organ damage, asthma, cancer, and more. The Bottineau County Sheriff's Office says they had a great time teaching kids important life lessons they hope will keep the community healthy.
