STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WFRV) - The Stevens Point Police Department is thanking a security officer and his K-9 partner for helping locate a firearm believed to have been used in a felony on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the Stevens Point Police Department contacted Security Officer Daniel Wachowiak and his K-9 partner Ares with Sentry Insurance, seeking their aid in looking for the firearm. Alleged drug dealer in Green Bay arrested after authorities seize hundreds of grams of drugs, facing 15+ charges The duo agreed and searched a wooded area on the east side of Stevens Point. Around 2:30 p.m., Ares was able to indicate a spot in the woods, and detectives recovered a loaded revolver on the ground in the area. According to the release, it's believed to be the firearm used in the aforementioned felony.
