FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- A restaurant that opened 25 years ago just south of Glenbrook Square mall and gave birth to a chain of eateries will serve their last meal at the location on Saturday. Cebolla's Mexican Grill on Fernhill Ave has become a staple for those in the community especially the people who work there. "This is like my house... we basically grew up here," said Mirna Prowant, Manager of the Fernhill location. Prowant has been working there since 2007 and has been the manager for the past seven years. She says her favorite part is all the customers who she has been able to form relationships with other the years. "Tomorow is going to be a sad day, not just for me but for everyone. I love all my customers, and they know me very well," said Prowant. The love she feels for the regulars that come in each day is reciprocated back. In fact, Friday many people had the same idea of eating lunch at the location for the last time. "I've already asked some of them where they're going because I still want to come see them and visit. Everybody here has always taken exceptionally good care of me," said Jason Headlee, he's been dining at the location for seven years. Saturday they are offering 25 percent off all menu items as a way to thank their customers for 25 years of service.
