GEORGETOWN, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — The Georgetown Police Department in Scott County says it’s investigating a homicide after a deadly shooting. Officers say one man died after he was shot Thursday night. Police say a suspect is now in custody. The shooting shut down parts of Washington Street and Scoggins Park near George Martin around 11:15 p.m. Both areas have since reopened and the investigation into the shooting continues.
