COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Gov. Henry McMaster and state officials are holding a press conference on Tropical Storm Helene on Friday, Sept. 27. The press conference will be at 2 p.m. Officials are holding the briefing to update the public on the state’s response to the Tropical Storm that hit early Friday morning. Helene has left many streets in the Midlands blocked by fallen trees as strong wind and heavy rain took over Friday morning. According to CNN, Fallen trees have killed residents in their homes in Anderson County in northwest part of the state.
