Glass reportedly falls from Transamerica Pyramid

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A windowpane on the Transamerica Pyramid shattered on Thursday night, reportedly sending glass raining down onto the sidewalk and street below. A spokesperson for the iconic property's owners, SHVO, told KRON4.com that the glass was damaged during a routine cleaning.

According to a post on Reddit, shards of glass fell from the building at around 6:45 p.m. No one was injured in the incident, according to the property owner, and an on-site team responded quickly.
KRON4.com has reached out to the San Francisco Department of Building Inspection for more information. We have yet to hear back.
Recently, the revitalization of the Transamerica Pyramid was completed following a billion-dollar renovation.
A SHVO spokesperson said that a contractor from the building went down to the street and cleaned the glass up that fell onto the street below.
