BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A man accused of threatening to kill his girlfriend, prompting an hourslong police standoff, has pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges, court records show.
Mauro Zepeda-Gonzalez pleaded no contest earlier this month to spousal battery and resisting arrest. He was sentenced to time served and three years' probation, according to court records.

Police said Zepeda-Gonzalez, 45 at the time, armed himself with a knife and threatened to kill his girlfriend at a home on South Haley Street. The girlfriend escaped unharmed.
Zepeda-Gonzalez barricaded himself inside, police said. He was arrested hours later when a SWAT team stormed the house.
