Man found dead in Lemon Grove residential neighborhood identified

LEMON GROVE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- The San Diego County Sheriff's Office has released the name of the man who was found shot and killed in the middle of a residential neighborhood in Lemon Grove Wednesday night.
On Tuesday, the department said the body of 23-year-old Darron Willie Singleton Jr. of Lemon Grove was discovered around 11 p.m. last Wednesday following several calls of gun shots in the 2200 block of Dain Court.

They said deputies began lifesaving efforts until medics arrived, but Singleton Jr. ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The Medical Examiner's Office completed the autopsy on Friday, the department said. Preliminary results indicated the manner of death was multiple gunshot wounds and the cause of death was a homicide.

Homicide investigators are still working to gather more information regarding what led to Singleton Jr.'s death. Currently, there is no confirmed suspect in this case, according to the department.
