OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — A short police chase involving a box truck in northeast Oklahoma City ended with one person in custody and a small grass fire late Tuesday afternoon. According to Oklahoma City Police, an undercover police unit spotted the box truck near NE 63rd and Martin Luther King Boulevard. When the officer attempted to stop the truck for reasons that are currently unknown, the driver sped off. Police chase ends in field near NE 71st and Bryant. Photo courtesy KFOR. After leading police on a short chase, at time driving the wrong way, the driver took a turn off the road into a field near NE 71st and Bryant. The driver was arrested soon after stopping the truck in the field. A police unit also caught a small patch of the tall grass on fire nearby, but police were able quickly put the fire out. The reason for the attempted stop prior to the chase is currently unknown at this time.
