RICHMOND, Ind. (WANE) - She told her son she'd be back soon. He watched her leave their Richmond home and get in the back seat of a car. But the boy had no idea it would be the last time he saw his mom. The woman, identified as Christina Dixon, and a man identified Matthew Johnson - whose bodies were found Friday in the St. Marys River - had led investigators to a drug bust the week before they were killed, according to Allen Superior Court documents released Tuesday. Court documents revealed Dixon and Johnson were confidential informants for the Richmond Police Department. They led investigators to conduct a search warrant Sept. 10 at the home of someone connected to Washington, where police found a "large amount of narcotics," according to court documents. 4 Fort Wayne strip malls to be auctioned after owner faces fraud charges Washington, also known as "Rooster" or "Nico," is accused of abducting 40-year-old Dixon and 41-year-old Johnson on Thursday. Investigators believe Washington "lured" the victims into a car and allegedly forced them to turn their phones off. "Detectives believe that Dominique then switched vehicles, killing them along the way, and then dumping the bodies in the St. Marys River in Fort Wayne, Indiana," investigators wrote in court documents. Over a week later, the remains of Dixon and Johnson were found by volunteers cleaning the St. Marys River near the edge of downtown Fort Wayne. The Allen County Coroner ruled the deaths homicides. The coroner determined Dixon died by strangulation and suffocation, while Johnson died from a gunshot wound and stab wound. Washington is being held without bond in the Allen County Jail.
