Coroner identifies man who died of stab wounds at Kern Medical Saturday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The Coroner's office has identified a 24-year-old man who arrived at Kern Medical with stab wounds early Saturday and died hours later.
Officials said Adrian Curiel, of Bakersfield, was stabbed by an unknown person near the intersection of Quincy and Inyo Streets on Sept. 21.
Bakersfield police were dispatched to Memorial Hospital around 2 a.m. for reports of a stabbing victim who had just arrived, according to BPD.
Curiel was then transported to Kern Medical where he died at 6:52 a.m. on Sept. 21.
The case is being investigated as a homicide, but BPD has not released any suspect information yet.
An autopsy is scheduled to determine Curiel's cause and manner of death.
