Meanwhile, Stolen Sisters, directed by Valerie Red-Horse Mohl (Cherokee) and produced by Dawn Jackson (Saginaw Chippewa) of Red-Horse Native Productions who have partnered with WXF, sheds light on the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) crisis, a largely overlooked human rights issue. Both projects have been selected as commitment makers for the 2024 Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Annual Meeting. These two projects represent the company’s dedication to advocacy and awareness campaigns focused on women and girls’ equality. Through educational screenings, actionable toolkits, and comprehensive social media campaigns, the projects aim to drive awareness and meaningful policy change, engaging both communities and policymakers to inspire lasting solutions to critical social issues. “We aim to shine a light on the systemic issues that have kept Indigenous women’s stories in the shadows for far too long.
