COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- One woman is dead and two other people are injured after a crash early Tuesday morning in east Columbus. Columbus police said officers were alerted to the crash just before 1 a.m. at the intersection of Woodland Avenue and East 17th Avenue. Police said video footage showed a Ford going north on Woodland Ave. and enter the E. 17th Ave. intersection on a red light. 12 injured after car hits Reynoldsburg restaurant The Ford than tried to turn left and was t-boned by a Buick, which was going east on East 17th Ave. under a green light. WATCH: One killed in east side crash The driver of the Ford, identified as 34-year-old Markeesha Waddell, was trapped inside the car and had to be extracted by Columbus firefighters. Waddell was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead at 1:43 a.m. The female passenger of the Ford was taken to a hospital and remains in critical condition while the male driver of the Buick was taken to a hospital in stable condition. Police's Accident Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate the crash.
