By Deborah Foster Join Heather Nicole, Oct. 13, 9 a.m. to noon at Nevada Artists Association Gallery, 449 W. King St, Carson City for an immersive photography workshop. You will learn how to use your camera to create beautiful images of the fall foliage and much more. Description: In this class, Heather will show you the camera settings and perspectives necessary to take great fall season photos. The class will begin indoors with a short introduction where Heather will demonstrate her tools and tricks. Then the class will go outdoors to take their own photos using the information Heather presented. Heather will be with you to give you individual help. After 1.5 hours the class will meet up again inside to show and critique everyone’s photos. — Before You Go: Know how to access the following settings; ISO, Aperture (a.k.a. f/stop), Shutter Speed (i.e. 1/100). We will be learning what these settings do in the workshop so knowing how to access and adjust them will ensure you are prepared for the day. Class price: NAA Members – $45; Non-members – $55; Ages 13+ Heather Nicole always has been passionate about wildlife and nature. From a young age she has had an interest in photography and her lens has naturally been focused on the wild things. Her enthusiasm for photography led her into the darkroom, then working at a portrait studio, and eventually into the digital photography landscape. She has won multiple awards in various local, regional and international photo competitions.
