UPDATE: Around 9:45 a.m., Virginia State Police reported that Wilson had been found safe. Albemarle County Police said "she is being evaluated by medics and appears to be in good health." ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Albemarle County Police Department is searching for a 72-year-old missing woman who reportedly has a history of dementia. (Courtesy of the Albemarle County Police Department) Charters Wilson was last seen in the area of Timberbranch Court around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, according to police. She was reportedly wearing a white and blue striped shirt and blue jeans while walking her brown hound dog. Wilson is reportedly 5-foot 5-inches tall with brown and gray hair. According to police, she has a history of dementia. As of around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, officers were continuing to search for Wilson with flashlights and K-9 units. "The missing senior suffers from a cognitive impairment and the disappearance poses a credible threat to their health and safety as determined by the investigating agency," a release from Virginia State Police reads. Anyone with information on Wilson's whereabouts is encouraged to call 911 or 434-296-5807.
