Host Findlay scored 28 unanswered points after Lake Erie made it a one-score game early in the second quarter, and the Oilers went on to a 42-6 victory Sept. 21. Jaffer Murphy accounted for the Storm’s scoring with field goals of 37 and 43 yards. His second field goal, with 10:34 remaining in the second quarter, made the score 14-6 in favor of Findlay. The Oilers (3-0) made it 21-6 with a touchdown with 4:29 remaining in the second quarter, then added three touchdowns in the second half for the final margin. The Storm were held to 142 yards of total offense, including 18 yards rushing. Lake Erie is 1-2 overall and 0-1 in the G-Mac. It hosts Northwood on Sept. 28 in Painesville.
