INDIANAPOLIS — A motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash on the northwest side of Indianapolis Saturday night. According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 5600 block of Michigan Road around 8:15 p.m. on a report of a personal injury crash. When police arrived at the scene, they located a motorcycle and an automobile that had been involved in a crash. IMPD indicated that the motorcyclist sustained "injuries consistent with trauma" during the crash. The biker was transported from the scene to an area hospital before ultimately being pronounced dead. Police reported that the crash was a hit-and-run. IMPD-certified crash investigators are still examining the incident. As of this article's publication, no additional information on the incident had been made available.
