One Killed after Three 18-Wheelers Collide near Sublett Road ARLINGTON, TX (September 19, 2024) – One driver was killed late Friday evening, in a semi-truck crash on northbound Highway 287. Police officers responded to the scene around 10:20 p.m., near Sublett Road on August 23rd. State troopers reported that the crash involved three semi-trucks, a 2016 Land Rover, and a 2015 Toyota RAV4. Investigators determined that one of the semi-truck drivers failed to slow down in a construction zone, leading to a rear-end collision with another 18-wheeler, sparking a chain-reaction crash. Despite efforts to save his life, the driver of the first semi-truck was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the driver’s identity or place of residence. Four other individuals were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The road was temporarily closed while emergency crews worked on clearing the scene and conducting preliminary investigations.
