Syracuse man pleads guilty to causing death of a mom after his brakes failed

Syracuse, N.Y. – A Syracuse man has admitted to causing the death of a mother walking with her son when his car hit her after brakes he modified failed.Neil Yox, 40, pleaded guilty Thursday to criminally negligent homicide in connection with the death of Hue Diep on Nov. 5, 2023. He was promised a sentence of one year in prison.
