Central Falls playground reopens after renovations
Sep 18, 2024
CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WPRI) — The newly renovated Jenks Park Playground has reopened in Central Falls with brand-new equipment, slides and more.
The city says the renovation was made possible through the voter-approved Green Bond passed in 2022.

"Jenks Park has always been a central part of our community, and these renovations mark an exciting new chapter for our families and children to enjoy," said Central Falls Mayor Maria Rivera.
Through the bond, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM) has been able to provide funding for green spaces to municipalities across the state. The DEM says it has given Central Falls nearly $1 million in funding over the last ten years to support the ongoing improvements to Jenks Park.
The park is open daily from 5 a.m. until 9 p.m. at 602 Broad Street.
