CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WPRI) — The newly renovated Jenks Park Playground has reopened in Central Falls with brand-new equipment, slides and more. The city says the renovation was made possible through the voter-approved Green Bond passed in 2022. Through the bond, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM) has been able to provide funding for green spaces to municipalities across the state. The DEM says it has given Central Falls nearly $1 million in funding over the last ten years to support the ongoing improvements to Jenks Park. The park is open daily from 5 a.m. until 9 p.m. at 602 Broad Street. Close Thanks for signing up! Watch for us in your inbox. Subscribe Now Daily Roundup SIGN UP NOW
