SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - The Chatham County District Attorney's Office announced Wednesday morning that it has gotten convictions on three individuals involved in the Fenwick Village double homicide case that occurred last August. On August 9, 2023, a shooting took place at the Fenwick Village Apartments in the Berwick area of Chatham County. The incident claimed the lives of Eric Townsend and Robert Johnson, Jr. According to a Chatham County District Attorney’s Office release, Albert Mack, Jr., Roland Heyward, and Akilee Wilson have all been convicted. An investigation by Chatham County Police (CCPD) led to the arrests of Mack, Heyward, and Wilson. A further investigation led to the arrests of Ruben Hughes and Raquan Williams, both of whom pled guilty in connection with the shooting.  Following a two-week trial, a Chatham County jury found Mack, Heyward, and Wilson guilty on all charges, including Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, Armed Robbery, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.  Sentencing for all three defendants is set for September 20, 2024.
