BRIARWOOD, Queens (WPIX) – Police in New York City are searching for two suspects accused of stealing and crashing a subway train in Queens just after midnight on Thursday. The incident took place at the Briarwood subway station in the borough's Briarwood neighborhood, the NYPD said. Police said the suspects accessed an unoccupied train sitting in the station "and operated it, causing a collision and damage to the train." There were no reported injuries related to the incident. Now, police are asking the public to assist in identifying the two suspects: a male last seen wearing a blue tank top and red shorts, and a female wearing an all-pink ensemble complete with a "pink shower cap," the NYPD said. Both fled after the crash, according to police. The NYPD released images of the suspects inside one of the train cars on Tuesday.
