The Houston Texans will welcome the Chicago Bears to NRG Stadium for a Week 2, “Sunday Night Football” matchup. The Texans and Bears have only faced off six times in their histories, with Houston holding a 4-2 series lead. The home teams have previously done well in this game, securing the last three wins. Last season, the Texans were a playoff team, but in Week 1, it was their offseason acquisitions who shined. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs caught two touchdown passes, with running back Joe Mixon adding another score on the ground, as the Texans beat the Colts 29-17. In Chicago, the Titans jumped all over them early, taking a 17-0 lead, but Chicago kept chipping away, and Tennessee eventually imploded. The Bears would score 24 unanswered points, though only two of those points came from an offensive player. Kicker Cairo Santos kicked three field goals, Chicago blocked a punt for a touchdown, and Tyrique Stevenson pick-six’d Will Levis to secure a touchdown victory. Betting line and pick for the game Houston is the favorite in this game and the folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook have set the betting line at Texans -6.5 points. The Bears have yet to score an offensive touchdown, and to make matters worse, starting wide receivers Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze are both questionable to play. While they might find the endzone in this game, I am not convinced they’re ready to compete just yet. Prediction: Houston 27 - Bears 17.
