Offroad pickup truck ignites fire in Livermore, 3 fire departments respond

(KRON) -- A pickup truck driving offroad and catching fire in Livermore Friday night required three fire departments to respond and put out the blaze, the Alameda County Fire Department said.

Firefighters received calls of an engulfed truck driving off Patterson Pass Road and Midway Road in unincorporated Livermore. Three fire departments -- including ACFD, Cal Fire, and the Tracy Fire Department -- responded to the fire at about 11:30 p.m.

Responding firefighters arrived to find an apparent pickup truck that was "fully" engulfed in a grassfire they estimated to be about two to three acres large.

Alameda County firefighters and other responding parties said they were able to out the grass fire in about two hours. No injuries from the fire were shared.
