SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) -- The American Revolution Experience is an interactive, multi-media exhibit about the U.S. war for Independence. It's taking place at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance Museum from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday's hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free. St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore, Minnesota, is hosting a Fall Bazaar & Craft Auction. Serving time for a turkey and dressing dinner goes from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A country store opens at 11 a.m. The auction begins at 1:30 p.m. The Sioux Valley Model Engineers Society is hosting an open house at their club building on the north side of the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds. The free open house runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fall Festival time at Country Apple Orchard in Harrisburg includes picking your own apples, a petting zoo, apple cannon range, a zip line and corn maze. Today's hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $14.95. Free for kids under three feet tall. The Fall Festival runs every weekend through October. The Homesteader Day Celebration at Beaver Creek Nature Area southeast of Brandon gives visitors a taste of pioneer life on the prairie.. The historical Samuelson cabin will be open for visitors. There will also be farming demonstrations, a blacksmith, Dutch oven cooking, rope making, candle dipping and music from 1-4 p.m. Admission is free. It's the 25th anniversary of the Heartland County Corn Maze, east of Harrisburg. The 11-acre maze is open from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $9, $6 for children and free for ages 4 and under. Siouxland Heritage Museums is celebrating its 50th anniversary with an exhibit called Courthouse Chronicles, to show visitors how the original Minnehaha County Courthouse has changed through the years. The exhibit is at the Old Courthouse Museum in downtown Sioux Falls. The hours are noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free. Dow Rummel Village in Sioux Falls is hosting a Grandparents Day Festival. Enjoy activities for all ages including crafts, games, food, live music and prizes from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Lights Up Productions presents the musical Parables and Proverbs at the Orpheum Theater Center in downtown Sioux Falls. Show time is 4 p.m. Tickets are $15 and $20. White Spruce Chamber Concert, featuring Angela Larson and Emily Anderson, present their fall recital on the campus of Augustana University in Sioux Falls. The performance is at 1 p.m. in the Hamre Recital Hall. Learn how to Line Dance at the Renner American Legion. Lessons go from 6 to 9:30 p.m. The cost is $8. East Coast Swing lessons are $10. All ages are welcome, with, or without a partner.
