GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Georgetown County deputies have arrested a man accused of kidnapping and assaulting a woman who came to clean his home. 53-year-old Daniel Shane Griffin was charged with criminal sexual assault, kidnapping, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office. Law enforcement said Griffin lured a woman to his home on Saints Delight Road under the pretense of needing a cleaner. He then pulled a small black pistol on her and forced her to be sexually assaulted. Investigators seized the suspect firearm and discovered it was stolen. The sheriff’s office said they are pursuing additional charges for the theft.Griffin is at the Georgetown County detention center awaiting a bond hearing.
