BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) — Happening this weekend is 'Dylanpalooza,' which is an event to raise money for a 6-year-old girl with cancer. Dylan Menard was officially diagnosed with a rare blood disorder and Leukemia a few months ago. Menard's family describes her as a 'tiny human' with a big heart, whose energy lights up the room. Although doctors say there’s no cure, family and friends hope to extend their love and support through this weekend’s activities. "Remember that there are other ways to support besides money, and that's showing up. That's kind words of encouragement. And because this is going to be a lot longer than maybe we anticipated at the beginning," said Victoria Theriot, aunt and godmother of Menard. T-shirts will also be available for purchase at the event. If you can’t make it, there are several ways to help. You can donate via Venmo (@josiahmenard) or GoFundMe.
